Deans' Council Meeting

On Monday, April 7, 2025, the Deans' Council convened its second meeting of the year (No. 2025/2) at 8:30 a.m. Sudan local time.  

The meeting was chaired by Professor Nasr El-Din Mohammed Ahmed Sharif, the University Director, and attended by Dr. Ashraf Ezzeldin Shaqdi, Deputy University Director; Dr. Abdelrahman Abdelwahab, University Undersecretary; Professor Ibtihal Jamal El-Din, Secretary of Academic Affairs; along with college deans and directors of various departments.  

The University Director opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees, expressing gratitude to Professor Mai Musa, and extending congratulations to Professor Ikram Adam on her appointment as Dean of Scientific Research, wishing everyone success.  

The agenda of the previous meeting was approved.  
Internal examination centers were approved in (Atbara, Kassala, Kosti), in addition to the university complexes in Omdurman for the first time since the outbreak of the war.  
External examination centers were approved in (Cairo, Jeddah).  
- Exam schedules for all internal and external centers were set, beginning on May 3, 2025, and ending on June 3, 2025.  
Tuition fees for students across colleges and centers were discussed, with emphasis on payment through the university’s official account.  
Efforts by the university reconstruction committees were reviewed, including an assessment of damages to university facilities and departments, pending a final report from the loss evaluation committee to form the Higher Reconstruction Committee.  
A recommendation was made to transition to digital media to document current conditions and reflect the university’s reality amid exceptional circumstances.  

In closing, the University Director thanked all attendees for their active participation, stressing the importance of continued cooperation to ensure the continuity of academic and administrative operations.
